green tree beside calm water during daytimeThis image shows part of the Milky Way viewed from Tofino in British Columbia. Total exposure of 210 seconds with image stacking and dark frames. The Andromeda galaxy can just be seen on the lower left edge. The bright star in the upper centre is Deneb, in the Cygnus constellation. Just below it you can see the red glow of the North American and the Pelican nebulas. To Deneb’s right the Inchworm Cluster is visible. The bright star well over to Deneb’s left is the Garnet Star and next to it the Elephant’s Trunk nebula can be seen.Milkyway in Lenk, Switzerlandcrescent moonJust one picture, no stackingThis is M31 or most commonly known as the Andromeda Galaxy.
